Saturday at the cove: boats rafted up, music low, and a white inflatable dock tied off behind the pontoon where everyone climbs out to sit with their feet in the water. Ask whose dock it is and you’ll hear one of three names more than any other: Solstice, BOTE or VEVOR. This guide puts the Solstice inflatable dock side by side with BOTE’s and VEVOR’s, using each maker’s own published sizes, ratings and prices, and flags where the numbers don’t agree.

In short: Solstice (a Swimline brand) sells mid-priced 6 in drop-stitch docks from 6 x 5 to 10 x 10 ft, rated by people count on its own site. BOTE’s docks are the thickest at 8 in and the most expensive, with a 2-year warranty, but its 10 ft capacity is listed as 2,100 lb by BOTE and 1,500 lb by some retailers. VEVOR is the budget pick, with an electric pump in the box and much lower stated capacities for its size. All three are recreational swim and lounge docks.

Prices change often. The prices below are what we saw at the maker or a major retailer in October 2026; check the current price before you buy.

Solstice inflatable dock: the mid-priced classic

Solstice Watersports is a Swimline brand, and its Inflatable Floating Dock is the one you’ll see at Overton’s, Walmart and Lowe’s. Solstice’s own page lists four sizes, all with six stainless D-rings and a dual-action hand pump with a gauge: 6 x 5 ft (3-5 people, 22 lb), 8 x 5 ft (4-6 people, 26 lb), 10 x 8 ft (6-8 people, 48 lb) and 10 x 10 ft (8-10 people, 54 lb). A dealer listing for the 10 x 10 gives a recommended pressure of 10 psi; another retailer says 10 to 12 psi for a firmer deck.

Solstice rates its docks by people, while retailers add pound figures: Overton’s lists 1,650 lb for the 10 x 10 and 1,320 lb for the 10 x 8. Solstice also sells a 10 x 8 Luxe Dock with a traction pad and ladder, and a mesh-center Rec Mesh dock, which are different products. When we checked in October 2026, every size was marked sold out on Solstice’s site, and dealer stock was patchy, so check availability before you plan around one.

BOTE dock: thickest, priciest, with a capacity question

BOTE, the paddle board brand, builds its Inflatable Dock (sold as the Hangout Dock) with its AeroBOTE inflatable construction, 8 in thick. BOTE’s page lists the 7 x 7 ft dock at 1,050 lb, 6-8 psi and about 35 lb, and the 10 x 10 ft at 2,100 lb, 8-10 psi and about 83 lb, each with a carry sling and hand pump and a 2-year warranty. BOTE showed $999 for the 7 ft and $1,549 for the 10 ft in October 2026, both sold out with a notify-me button.

The 2,100 vs 1,500 lb conflict. BOTE’s own page lists the 10 ft dock at 2,100 lb, while some retailers selling model 10IBD20CL list 1,500 lb (and 6-8 psi instead of 8-10). We can’t tell from the listings which figure covers people standing on the deck. Until BOTE clarifies, plan around the lower number and ask BOTE which one applies to your dock. Our inflatable dock capacity explained guide shows why these figures differ.

VEVOR floating dock: the budget option

VEVOR sells a long list of inflatable floating docks, on its own site and on Amazon, in square, rectangular and round shapes. Its listings describe layered drop-stitch PVC with an EVA non-slip pad, 6 in thick, and include both an electric pump and a dual-action hand pump. The figures VEVOR states are much lower than the other brands for a similar size: the 6 x 5 ft dock is rated 265 lb (120 kg) for 1-3 people, and the 10 x 6.5 ft dock 661 lb (300 kg) for 5-6 adults. VEVOR’s specs don’t give a pressure; in its answer to a buyer’s question it says 3 psi. No warranty is listed, only 30-day free returns.

The low price is real ($166.99 for the 6 x 5 ft and $337.19 for the 10 x 6.5 ft on VEVOR’s site), but so is the gap in stated capacity. A VEVOR dock is a good fit for a pool, a pond or two people on a lake. For a crowd, a higher-rated dock is the safer buy.

Setup and care are the same for all three

Whichever brand you pick, the routine is similar. Inflate on a clear, flat spot (RAVE’s manual for its own dock says flat ground or the boat deck with the motor off), carry it rather than drag it, and pump to the pressure printed for your model, not to a number from another brand. A gauge helps: Solstice includes one on its pump. Tie off or anchor through the D-rings so wind can’t swing the dock, and keep it away from engines and propellers. Air expands as the sun warms the deck, so check pressure again in the afternoon.

At the end of the day or season, rinse with mild soap and fresh water, dry both sides completely, and roll it loosely for storage somewhere shaded and dry. Our guides on how to store an inflatable dock and inflatable dock repair cover the details from the makers’ manuals.

How to choose between them

  • Count people, then check the label. For a family of four on a lake, the Solstice 10 x 8 (6-8 people) or BOTE 7 ft (1,050 lb) fit; the VEVOR 6 x 5 (1-3 people) does not.
  • Thicker is firmer. BOTE’s 8 in deck flexes less underfoot than 6 in decks, at a price.
  • Budget for a pump. Only VEVOR includes an electric pump. Hand-pumping a 10 x 10 to 8-10 psi takes a while; see dock ladders and accessories for pumps.
  • Plan anchoring. Solstice gives you six D-rings; anchors and lines are usually extra on all three.
  • Warranty matters on PVC. BOTE gives 2 years, Solstice 1 year; VEVOR lists returns only.

Solstice, BOTE and VEVOR dock questions

How much weight can a Solstice inflatable dock hold?

Solstice rates its docks by people: 3-5 for the 6 x 5 ft up to 8-10 for the 10 x 10 ft. Overton’s lists 1,650 lb for the 10 x 10 and 1,320 lb for the 10 x 8. Go by the label on your dock.

Is the BOTE 10 ft dock rated 2,100 or 1,500 lb?

BOTE’s site says 2,100 lb; some retailers list 1,500 lb for the same model. The sources conflict, so use the lower figure until BOTE confirms which applies to people on the deck.

Is a VEVOR inflatable dock any good?

It is a low-cost drop-stitch dock with both pumps included. Its stated capacities are much lower than Solstice, BOTE or RAVE for a similar size, and no warranty is listed, so it suits light use by a few people.

Can I park a jet ski on these docks?

None of the three is sold as a jet ski dock. For that, see purpose-built models in our jet ski docks guide.
